Our story
Abstrakt's roots go back a decade, to Echuo, a service we created as students that already let people catch up on the news in a few minutes. Our ambition was to offer simple access to information for those who could not immerse themselves in it fully.
Despite solid growth and a loyal audience, we had to face the facts: we lacked the means, the time and the experience to turn the project into a lasting success. Reluctantly, we shut it down.
Ten years later, the original idea still held its appeal and its promise. With greater resources, dedicated time and deeper expertise, particularly in management and artificial intelligence, the time had come to bring our vision back to life. That is how Abstrakt was born: the fulfillment of our ambition to make access to information as simple and efficient as possible.

At Abstrakt, our advanced technology system is designed to assist us in writing our press reviews, never to take them over. By combining modern machine learning techniques such as clustering, classification and vector databases with the capabilities of generative AI, we analyze and sort the roughly 15,000 articles published every day in France.
Our proprietary models, trained by our team on datasets built in-house, go beyond traditional keyword-based methods and capture the context and relevance of each news item in fine detail. Generative AI also lets us rephrase and summarize the key information, to convey what matters clearly and concisely.
Technology handles a precise, targeted first sort, but it is the final validation by our team that guarantees a balanced, high-quality press review. This combination of advanced technology and human expertise lets us deliver, every morning, a news summary that is both rigorous and comprehensive.
Our team
Passionate about the press and information, Julien made more than 11,000 contributions to Wikipedia while in high school. A graduate of EDHEC, he gained experience in marketing, communications and product at a leading political party, then as a freelancer. These experiences shaped his vision of authentic, accessible information, which Abstrakt now brings to life.
Also an EDHEC alumnus, Marvin went on to pursue his passion for technology at École 42. He was Chief Operating Officer at Magic Makers, a startup that teaches children to code, then worked as a software engineer. At Abstrakt, he applies his AI skills to make information gathering more efficient and more innovative.
