The origin of Abstrakt dates back a decade, with the creation of Echuo during our studies, a service that already allowed browsing the news in a few minutes. Our ambition was to offer simplified access to information for those who couldn't fully immerse themselves in it.
However, despite honorable growth and a loyal audience, we had to face reality: we lacked the means, time, and experience to transform this project into lasting success. Reluctantly, we had to put an end to it.
Ten years later, the appeal of our original idea, still as promising, remained. Armed with increased resources, dedicated time, and strengthened expertise, particularly in management and artificial intelligence, the time had come to bring our vision back to life. This is how Abstrakt was born, the fulfillment of our aspiration to make access to information as simple and efficient as possible.

At Abstrakt, our advanced technological system is designed to assist us in writing our press reviews, without ever taking control. By combining modern machine learning techniques, such as clustering, classification, vector databases, and generative AI capabilities, we analyze and sort the approximately 15,000 articles published daily in France.
Our open source models, meticulously tuned by our team, go beyond traditional keyword-based methods, enabling a fine understanding of the context and relevance of the news. Thanks to generative AI, we are also able to reformulate and synthesize key information, to convey the essentials in a concise and clear manner.
Technology ensures precise and targeted initial sorting, but it's the final validation by our team that guarantees a balanced and superior quality press review. This complementarity between cutting-edge technology and human expertise allows us to offer each morning a rigorous and comprehensive news synthesis.
Passionate about press and information, Julien made more than 11,000 contributions to Wikipedia during high school. A graduate of EDHEC, he gained experience in marketing, communication, and product at a leading political party and then as a freelancer. His experiences nurtured his vision of authentic and accessible information, now realized through Abstrakt.
Also an EDHEC graduate, Marvin subsequently pursued his passion for technology at School 42. He was Director of Operations at Magic Makers, a startup dedicated to teaching coding to young people, then worked as a software engineer. At Abstrakt, he leverages his AI skills to make information gathering more efficient and innovative.
